Wordmap Intelligent Text Classifier (ITC) uses advanced pattern-matching techniques to route text documents into pre-defined categories.

ITC’s learn by example system is easy to train and maintain, typically requiring 10-15 documents per category to reach good standards.

Wordmap ITC for Government is delivered with an extensively pre-trained category set consisting of many thousands of documents.

Classification can be fully automated, or supervised, so that classification decisions are reviewed by human editors. Wordmap ITC is fully integrated with Wordmap Content Author, so that a full range of metadata can be added to any document.

Wordmap ITC also provides a range of administrative functions, including the ability to:

• Administer training
• Set confidence thresholds, that determine when documents should be routed automatically and when decisions should be approved by authors
• Schedule batch classifications and uploads

ITC functions are accessible via SOAP compliant web services APIs.
